TOMASZ SIKORA

I am head of the Department of English Literatures at the Pedagogical University of Kraków. I have published and lectured widely in the areas of Queer Theory, Literary and Cultural Studies, Environmental Humanities and more. I authored two books: Virtually Wild: Wilderness, Technology and the Ecology of Mediation (2003, ATH Press) and Bodies Out of Rule: Transversal Readings in Canadian Literature and Film (2014, Pedagogical University of Kraków Press) and co-edited, among many other books, Out Here: Local and International Perspectives in Queer Studies (2006, Cambridge Scholars Press) and Towards Critical Multiculturalism / Vers un multiculturalisme critique (2011, PARA). I co-founded and continue to co-edit the online peer-reviewed journal of queer studies InterAlia. Besides, I have contributed chapters to numerous monographs, such as Materiality of Love: Essays on Affection and Cultural Practice (2018, Routledge), Alice Munro, Issues in Literature and Culture (2016, Springer International Publishing), Affinities: Essays in Honour of Professor Tadeusz Rachwał (2014, Peter Lang) and Gothic Topographies: Language, Nation Building and ‘Race’ (2013, Ashgate).
